Kangaroo's, horseback riding, hidden lake and Whitsundays!

Every day of our journey have brought new adventures. We usually never plan until the day before or the same day what we want to do, and that gives us the opportunity to be very impulsive!

After Fraser island, we drove to Bundaberg, where Anders visited the Bundaberg rum museum/brewery, and in the afternoon we drove to a small city along the coast called Agnes Water. We made dinner at the parking lot and parked our car in a random street. Next morning at 06.00, Anders went for a walk in the area and came back telling the rest of us about lots of wild Wallaby's jumping around near by. I jumped into my shorts and t-shirt and walked into the forest.. and he was right. There were lots of those small kangaroo's all over!

Later that day we drove up towards Rockhampton to Kroombit farm, were we did horseback riding for a couple of hours. The day after we visited Upper stony creek, north of Rockhampton. A beautiful hidden spot for a swim!

As a lot of other backpackers, we stayed a couple of nights in Airlie beach and did a 2 days and 2 nights sailboat trip to the Whitsunday islands. The Whitsundays were amazing! We spent most of the time on the boat "Habibi" (means darling on arabic) and had a couple of hours on the Whitsunday island, snorkled outside Hook island and watched the crew feed a big sea eagle.

We parked our van and stayed a night out in this area. In the morning the cows were wondering what we were doing there! haha! They all gathered in a group and stared at us!
Upper Stony creek.. so beautiful!
We layed down on the rocks and enjoyed life while tanning and listening to the running water

Mama mia .. Oh lala

We parked a little bit too close.. ;)

These red trees are everywhere, and they are so pretty!

On our way to the Whitsunday! We sailed together with about 20 other backpackers

Sunset

Sunrise at 5.20.. beautiful to wake up and watch it

White Haven beach at the Whitsunday island

The sand here is one of the purest in the world and consists of 98 prosent pure silica, which gives it a very white colour. The guide told us that the sand is perfect to polish jewelry, and we used it to scrub our body

Phil (our guide) tranported us from the big boat to the island
