Darwin and Kakadu National Park

After spending 22 days driving from Gold Coast to Cairns, we took a flight to Darwin with the mission to explore the Northern territory (NT). We spent some days in Darwin, the biggest city in NT, and rented a Wicked van and drove around to see Kakadu National Park, Katherine Gorge and Litchfield National Park. As you can see, the NT is very different from the eastcoast.

Anders and Martin became kids again!

I found this mega big leaf and thought I looked like one of those cool lizards from Jurassic park! haha

I told Anders to give me an angry look, but of course he smiled more than ever! :P

A beach a bit north of Darwin in the area Birkin
The harbour in Darwin. Almost every afternoon there was thunder and lightning in the horizon.. but we still at the same time had a lot of sun. I have never experienced anything like that!

The outdoor wave pool in Darwin. A lot of the Australian cities have built outdoor pools and lagoons because its dangerous to swim in the ocean

Snakes! For five dollars we could hold one of these in Darwin. Since I have already held one, I just took some photos. The snake in the front is an Olive Python and we saw a wild one when we were camping!

When you drive in the NT you pass a lot of these road trains
We visited "Spectacular Jumping Crocodile cruize"

Holding an Olive Phython!
