Glass House Mountains & an unespected overheating!

Hey hey!! Due to lack of internet, I haven't been able to update the blog until now. We arrived to Cairns yesterday and we are staying here until friday. Today I woke up to pouring rain, but I think the sun is on its way already!;) The photos I have uploaded is from a trip we did a little while ago when we were at the Sunshine coast. We drove to the Glass House Mountains and had hell of a climb I can tell you! The Glass house mountains are six old remainings of volcanoes, and some of them are really steep and hard to climb. Without anything to hold on to, we climbed up one of the mountain's with bare hands and feet. My adrenaline was pumping all the way up, and I didn't really dare to look down! How would I actually be able to get down?! Arriving at the top was an amazing feeling of victory! A super great view over the green forests and the other mountains around. The climb down was surprisingly easy, so everything went well :)
After the hike, we continued our drive towards Maleny and some sights inland. What we didn't know was that there was a long hill we had to drive up....with an old van like ours, that ment overheating!!! We had to pull over at a farm, cool down and the farmer let us eat lunch at his veranda and provided us with some water for the car. Australians are so friendly and helpful. No doubt about it! :)

Driving up the hill with a line of cars behind us.. he he !!

Parked outside the farm
Lunch at the farmers veranda.. as you can see, he had all his cowboy equitment ready behind on the wall
