The Royal Botanic Garden & Concert with Bonjah!!!
Yesterday was one LOVELY day! I started the day with a walk in the beautiful Royal Botanic Garden and went to the city to have a look at the Australian Centre for Moving Image.
I thought I would try to make a video for once. It's just a short one, but it gives you an impression of my day! The soundtrack of the video is by the awesome australian band "The temper Trap" with the song "Fader"

A walk from Southbank to Docklands
Nice weather = whatta heck are you doing inside?!? Jacqui and me decided to drive to the city and go for a walk along the Yarra River, a nice winter day last week. We started our walk in Southbank and ended up in Docklands.
It started to get dark as we walked back, and we stopped by at Chocolate Buddah on Fed Square for sushi with crab and green-tea icecream! YUMMY in my TUMMY!
Driving towards the city! |
At a closer look you migth notice that there's a café under the bridge. A nice chai-latte tasted good at Ponyfish Island I can tell ya! |
Just gotta love all the art and details around |
I still can't get used to the cars driving on the wrong side of the road! |
Aboriginal art |
"Brothers Act" in town! I had a little laugh when I saw the munks crossing the bridge, and suddenly starting to take pictures of each other. |
Anders - you can see the MCG in the background! Its gonna be great to watch a footy match there next month :) |

Gold coast & Surfers paradise
As some might know, I recently came back from a little trip at the Gold coast where I visited Anders. The Gold coast is definitely very different from Melbourne. Its more relaxed, super nice beaches along the whole coast and generally much smaller conditions, as to houses, roads, traffic and less people. We biked a couple of times up to Surfers paradise, spent a day at Kingscliff, went to a local zoo and saw the view from one of the highest buildings in Australia.

Lifeguard flags and board down at the beach at Kingscliff |
A lovely home in Miami! |
Entering Wildlife Currumbin Sanctuary, I found a pink hat! Yep! |
This one is called an echidna. You can tell by they're nose that their favorite food is antz! |
Tasmanian devil.. it looks quite dangerous in this picture, but it was actually just yawning |
A dingo! They are known for their howl instead of barking. It looks just like a dog, but you have to be careful. In the wild they have killed children |
Koala's!! Awww..and a little baby-koala on the back |
This is a saltwater crocodile... some of them are huge! These are bigger than the freshwater crocodiles. They sometimes even eat each other! |
I found my Skippy! I have never seen a kangoroo so relaxed.. it never moved! |
